Arijit Singh was recently present in Dubai where he held a concert which was attended by Raees actress Mahira Khan. Among several other songs, the singer has sung Zaalima song from the film Raees in which Mahira was paired with Shah Rukh Khan. In the viral video, Arijit Singh is seen introducing Mahira Khan to the audience. Interestingly, the singer initially failed to recognise the actor who was among the other spectators at the concert.

Arijit Singh apologises to Mahira Khan for not recognising her

Now, a video from the concert venue has surfaced online and since gone viral, showing Arijit proudly introducing Mahira to the audience while also apologising for failing to recognise her earlier. He is heard saying, “You guys must be surprised, should I reveal. I should reveal in a very nice way. Can we have camera there. I have been trying to recognise this person, then remembered I have sung for her. Ladies and gentlemen Mahira Khan sitting right infront of me. Think about I was singing her song Zaalima and it’s her song and she was singing and standing and I couldn’t recognise her. I am so sorry. Maam gratitude and thank you so much.”

After Arijit apologised, Mahira shouted ‘It’s okay’ from the crowd as she thanked him. The actor also waved at the audience from her seat.
